Trying to save some cash the next few months, I want to buy an Epson R-D1s camera....but the Ciney Militaria Fair is this weekend...
Better call the paramedics to treat my wallet.

In other acquisitions: A new (Hotchkiss NOS) Gearbox for my 1943 Willys MB. The other one was in a horrible condition. It runs fine now, with a bit of fine tuning to the carb...and I still need a new windshield frame :(

The A.J. Barker one? I got that a few weeks ago - a good potted history, and some great photos.

My HBTs arrived this morning, from Pirschen - only 23 days this time! :D

Now... got to read ATF's guide to sewing on woven Litzen and eagle...

Yep, that's the one. Doesn't look too bad. Like you say a bit of a potted history but the pictures are good and there's a few good snippets in my reading so far.

USMC Woodland DPM loadout - suit, boonie, assault vest... Sorry guys but I can't get time off for the weekenders, there's no new WW2 AEGs on the horizon and I'm getting bored of (a) playing in the same kit and (b) being the one of no more than 2-3 guys in WW2 gear.

Plus I fancied a change and it was so fuggin' cheap - loadout for £80!

Nice one Jay!

Well, todays purchase has been a 1935 dated Tournister pack. Superb condition, so i didn't mind spending £75 on it at the Farnham Militaria Fair, but it was the only thing I managed to strike off the shopping list as everything else I wanted was horrifically overpriced.

Today's Haul from the Ciney Fair,

Plash Palatka , rain cape with the Russian War-time leather grommets.
A nomenclature plate for a US fire extinguisher
A nomenclature plate for a US BC-1000 Radio set
A US Army French Phrase book
A US Army Winter Combat Helmet

It was relatively painless :)
